Tales of the City (Chroniques de San Francisco, in french), by Armistead Maupin. I'm just at the beginning, I thought it would make an easy reading for a long and restive weekend, and so far, it seems to fit the purpose.

I just finished RtRL.  Now I have moved on to Red Sorghum <Hong Gao Liang> by Mo Yan (Howard Goldblatt, translator).

I love Moyan !
Yesterday I just finished a very old book from Jules Vernes about china : "tribulations d'un chinois en chine". Dated 1879 ; the writer did not know much about china ; the cliches are sometimes exhilarating.

On the verge of finishing a book from a french philosopher (Francois Jullien ; ever heard of him ?) about the notion of universality.

Occasionally reading poetry by Francois Cheng, a famous chinese writer in France and poetry by Christine Bonduelle,  a French contemporary poet.

Will read a book of Salman Rushdie (sea of stories or so) given by a friend .
